Free employee COVID-19 testing continues

October 8, 2020

All WSU employees working in Whitman County can help contain COVID‑19 by taking advantage of free asymptomatic COVID‑19 testing. It’s completely voluntary, but your participation is critical in helping us manage the spread of the virus and understand the effectiveness of WSU’s prevention methods.

Testing will help us determine if outbreaks in our student population are impacting WSU personnel. It will also assist in identifying campus areas and activities potentially contributing to transmission risk.

The tests, administered in partnership with the Army National Guard, are being conducted at various sites across campus and throughout the Pullman community.

Free COVID‑19 testing will be available through Nov. 20. See below for times and locations over the next two weeks.

Tests are open to employees who are not experiencing COVID‑19 symptoms and have not been identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive. Employees who are feeling ill should get in touch with their healthcare provider directly.

Any WSU employee who works in Whitman County but lives outside of Whitman County and tests positive or has been in close contact with a positive case should immediately notify Environmental Health and Safety at 509‑335‑3041 or ehsweb@wsu.edu so that WSU contact tracers can begin their work.
