Murrow College associate dean Jeff Peterson and faculty member Chris Cooney developed a two-week course for 25 students
in the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program. During their time in Pullman, the students created short videos related to a
designated United Nations Sustainable Development Goal and presented them to an audience of peers, host families, International
Programs staff and university administrators.
Peter Christenson, assistant professor of fine arts at WSU Tri-Cities, was recognized with the Governor’s Arts & Heritage Young Arts Leader Award from the Washington State Arts Commission. Christenson teaches in support of the fine arts and digital
technology and culture programs with a focus on multidisciplinary, new media and social art practices.
Tory Knebel is the latest WSU Pharmacy student to be appointed to serve on the Student Leadership Council for the National
Community Pharmacists Association. Knebel will represent NCPA student chapters from all over the western United States, and
is the ninth WSU College of Pharmacy student to serve as a NCPA’s Student Leadership Council in as many years.
