This is a pivotal time in WSU’s history. Land‑grant universities, like other organizations, must evolve to maintain their relevancy and value. Nimbleness and responsiveness to stakeholder needs are vital.

As the University community statewide partners to create the first‑ever system‑focused WSU strategic plan, we must answer several big‑picture questions:

  • How can WSU evolve to better serve the public?
  • Do we put enough emphasis on high‑quality teaching?
  • Can we improve our engagement with communities statewide?
  • Does the public know about the benefits of WSU‑led research?

Join your colleagues and Stephen Gavazzi, coauthor of Land‑Grant Universities for the Future, to consider these and other challenging questions. Dr. Gavazzi, professor of human development and family science at The Ohio State University, will present the keynote address and lead a series of dialogues focused on key themes in his book.
