Welcome back for the start of the spring semester. We hope it will be an enjoyable and rewarding time for everyone.

Support for our international community

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students:

Welcome back for the start of the spring semester. We hope it will be an enjoyable and rewarding time for everyone.

As we begin the semester, it is important to restate the University’s longstanding support for all members of our community, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, citizenship, or other protected identity. Simply stated, our goal is to ensure a campus climate in which everyone at WSU feels welcome and safe as they live, learn, and work.

It is particularly important—in light of recent events in the Middle East—to support our international students, scholars, faculty, and staff, who make the world bigger and richer for all of us.

It can be anxiety-producing to be far from home, family, and friends during times of international crisis. We want to assure all members of our international community that the entire WSU family is here to help in whatever ways we can. A valuable resource is our Office of International Programs, whose experts can provide advice about traveling abroad, immigration policies, and related matters:
